SPIRITUAL DISCOVERY™ TRAINING CENTER ANNOUNCES FALL SEASON EVENTS The Spiritual Discovery™ Training Center (SDTC) located in the beautiful hills of La Mesa, California (10 minutes east of downtown San Diego) kicks off its fall season with an open invitation to everyone to come enjoy, learn, and have fun. Directed by owner and spiritual/metaphysical community leader Linda Berry, the SDTC has had an overwhelmingly successful spring and summer season, which brought people from all over the San Diego area, as well as surrounding counties, cities, and states, to attend spiritual, metaphysical, and holistic courses, workshops, and seminars. Some of the most popular events were the Spiritual Healing Seminars conducted by Mother Sarita (mother of don Miguel Ruiz, author of "The Four Agreements") and the astrological training offered by SDTC professional astrologers Linda Berry and Jim Shawvan, both of whom recently took positions on the board of the San Diego Chapter of NCGR (National Council for Geocosmic Research). Berry is serving as president and Shawvan as treasurer of the chapter of this world-renowned astrological organization which certifies professional astrologers at four levels of expertise. The local meetings will be held at SDTC, with the fall meeting on Monday, October 24th, offering a panel of local professional astrologers discussing the warrior planet Mars. NCGR certification training will also be held at SDTC, with the fall seminar being held on Saturday and Sunday, November 5th and 6th. Other events starting this fall at SDTC include the basic tarot course with professional tarot reader Deanna Rose. Professional astrologer Jim Shawvan will teach a predictive astrology course, a Solar Fire software workshop, an electional and horary workshop, and an NCGR certification training seminar. Jim’s fame as an astrologer has led him to be highlighted in the Llewellyn 2006 Daily Planetary Guide with his “Opportunity Periods” based on the movements of the moon. Personal one-on-one training is also offered at SDTC by owner Linda Berry in basic, spiritual, and Native Indian astrology, as well as in palmistry. Linda is one of the few people in the western United States who offers training in palm reading. She also teaches her Spiritual Discovery Training Program that assists individuals on their spiritual path learning to balance their inner and outer worlds and left and right brain energies. The Spiritual Discovery™ Training Center stands out in that it offers its students a “practice setting” to help hone their talents at the “Mystical Readers Salon”, (see following information) held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. The students get the opportunity to give readings to those attending the Salon, with the assistance of their instructors. Once having reached a level of expertise, they are then invited to read at events alongside their SDTC instructors. In short, SDTC not only instructs readers but also offers opportunities for those who want to become serious, professional readers. On this same note, Linda Berry has been working toward starting the second college of astrology in the entire country, to be located here in the San Diego area. Although it is an ancient art practiced in many cultures, here in the United States, astrology is not exactly a discipline that receives great recognition. The Center’s owner and community leader, Linda Berry, would like to change this by providing an educational center where students not only receive training, but can also obtain a professional degree in the subject. The Spiritual Discovery™ Training Center is kicking off its fall season with new opportunities for those interested in becoming a professional reader. MEDIA LIST MOTHER SARITA SPIRITUAL SERVICE STORY A group of over sixty people gathered at the Spiritual Discovery™ Training Center in La Mesa, California on Sunday morning, February 6, 2005 for a very special Spiritual Service given by faith healer, Mother Sarita. She is a well-known and respected healer from the Toltec Indian tradition in Mexico who is focused on bringing the knowledge of healing methods of the past into the present day. Everyone attending the service went into a spiritual meditation as they followed the words of ancient wisdom as Mother Sarita spoke for almost two hours. From her over seventy years of giving and teaching how to achieve healing through her techniques learned from her grandfather, she shared this information to the attendees who received it with open arms and hearts. Then she went into a “medium-type” trance and proceeded to channel the Jesus consciousness. She continued to share the words of faith and encouragement to begin using spiritual means to not only heal oneself but to help others heal as well.
